The Marvel Cinematic Universe just got better since the announcement that J.B. Smoove will be joining the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Curb Your Enthusiasm actor’s role has not been revealed as of yet, so we’re left wondering if he’ll play a villain or a good guy.
J.B. will be joining Jake Gyllenhaal, who will be paying bad-guy Mysterio, as well as Zandaya, Tom Holland and more. The film is set to hit theaters on July, 5th 2019 and will see Spider-Man leave New York for the first time since the story sees him in international locations such as London.
Speaking of Spiderman, the co-creator of the Marvel character, as well as Doctor Strange, has tragically passed away at age 90. Steve Ditko worked alongside Stan Lee and was given the assignment of creating a teen superhero with spider powers after someone else’s attempt was a bust. Steve was found in his apartment on June 29th, with no cause of death announced.
“We all want to leave our mark on the world – this guy crushed it. He made so many people so happy and changed lives – most of all, mine! Thank you Steve – your life lives on man, thank you #SteveDitko,” Tom tweeted.
